David R. Jackson, Attorney
David R. Jackson is a Consulting Attorney at Lehrman Beverage Law, PLLC. He joined the firm in 2011, after working as an import attorney and attending a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree program in Agricultural and Food Law at the University of Arkansas.
David focuses on FDA food law issues, including labeling and compliance matters.
David received his J.D. from the University of Kansas in 2007. During law school, David worked as a Research Assistant for Prof. Raj Bhala, the Rice Distinguished Professor of Law and now the Associate Dean for International and Comparative Law. In addition to his work as a Customs and import attorney in private practice, David’s legal work experience includes working at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Foreign Agricultural Service and, more recently, for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. David has also recently passed the U.S. Customs Broker License examination.
Before attending law school, David worked for over a decade for leading companies in the technology and Internet industries, building and managing customer support and Internet abuse teams. He spent a year teaching English in the People’s Republic of China at the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (北京航空航天大学). David is a Washington D.C. area native, and graduated from George Mason University with a B.A. in English.
